Alaskan Bush People Star Ami Brown Is Forgiven: Mom’s Final Moments Revealed

Last week, the death of Earlene Branson, the estranged mother of Alaskan Bush People star Ami Brown, made the news. The 85-year-old passed away without having the chance to mend her relationship with her daughter, whom she has not spoken to for several years. At that time, there was not that much detail shared about her life and death. But now, Ami’s long-lost brother, Les Branson, broke his silence and revealed Earlene’s last moments.

In an interview with Radar Online, Les Branson revealed that her mother died due to pneumonia complications. She was with her loved ones at the time of her passing.

According to the reports last week, Earlene was not able to reconcile with her daughter. She really wanted to see Ami for the last time. Even though that never happened, Earlene forgave her. “Tell Ami that I forgive her,” were among the final words Earlene uttered on her deathbed, according to Les.

Billy Brown’s wife, Ami, was diagnosed with late-stage cancer last year. Les said Earlene tried to find her after news broke that Ami had cancer. She reportedly called different hospitals just so she can have a chance to talk to her one last time.

She even flew to Alaska to try and see Ami. It was her nephew, Chuck Gilbert, who funded her visit because they all knew that’s what she really wanted. Although Ami’s husband was not ecstatic about his wife seeing her family, Earlene still loved to talk about her daughter. Her obituary even includes Ami, which proudly reads that her daughter is a part of Discovery’s hit TV show, Alaskan Bush People.

Les added that his mother loved to watch the series. She stopped doing so toward the end of her life because she knew she would never get the chance to hug and see Ami again. Even though they have been estranged for the longest time, Les still wishes for Ami to attend Earlene’s funeral, which will be held this Friday in Texas.
