Lori Vallow Daybell’s murder trial kicked off this week. The notorious mom of two is accused of killing her two children Tylee Ryan and JJ (Joshua) Vallow, and Tammy Daybell (the previous wife of Lori’s husband Chad). After being deemed mentally fit to stand trial, Lori Vallow pled not guilty and opening statements kicked off in an Idaho courtroom on Monday, April 10 2023.
Any sane person would wonder WHY Lori Vallow Daybell felt the need to murder her two children, dismembering and burning Tylee’s body, and what she could possibly gain by that. Even more disturbing was the fact that Lori went on about her regular life for months, while her children were deemed “missing,” and seemed completely unfazed by their absence, or deaths.
Doomsday Cult Mom Lori Vallow Daybell Heads To Court
According to the opening statements made in court on Monday April 10, Lori’s motive was simple and tried and true, “Money, power, and sex.”
Per People Magazine, “Money, power and sex, that is what this case is about,” Fremont County Prosecuting Attorney Lindsey Blake said during opening statements. “Lori used money, power and sex or the promise of those things to get what she wanted. [Lori] will remove any obstacle in her way to get what she wanted and she wanted Chad Daybell,” Blake added.”
Who Was Chad Daybell
Chad Daybell (a doomsday author and alleged cult leader) is also charged in the deaths of his ex wife Tammy Daybell, and step-children Tylee and JJ. However, he will be going to trial separately.
While the evidence and motive in the case seem pretty cut and dry, there are always curveballs in the court room, so we will have to wait and see if a jury of her peers finds Lori Daybell guilty of murdering her own children, and her husband’s ex. Do you think Lori will be found guilty, or was she brainwashed by the doomsday cult and her husband Chad?
