Per the latest reports, Trump doubles down on his H-1B position, says America needs “a lot” of smart people coming into the country.

The President-Elect said, “I’ve always felt we have to have the most competent people in our country. We need competent people.”

“We need smart people coming into our country, and we need a lot of people coming in. We’re gonna have jobs like we’ve never had before.”

Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “This is in fact what he always said in his final official position and Elon’s current stance actually does align with this, despite communicating it terribly.”

“It’s time to come together. MAGA is a movement much bigger than any one issue. We have two years to accomplish the agenda. We must come together and realize we won’t win 100% of our own personal policy battles.”

Another critic wrote, “So sad-complete change from 2016! There are a lot of very intelligent people in America! Offer specialized training! We don’t need to bring them in except through regular legal immigration (vetting & civics test)! No-HB1.”

“Visa & 0-1 Visa (highly qualified)-very low amount & Student Visa – Green Card after graduate (vetted & highly needed majors & not from Communist countries, etc.). Am. And then there was this comment as well: “Trump just sold us out to India. The American people were the only thing standing between him and a prison cell and he just stabbed us in the back. Midterms will be an absolute bloodbath and he will be swiftly impeached in the next Congress.”
