It’s going to be hard for him to turn his words around with this one. It seems like Donald Trump was once a fan of Kamala Harris’ running mate, Tim Walz.

According to the latest reports, ABC News has obtained audio where then President Trump expressed support for Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s handling of the George Floyd protests back in 2020.

Trump told a group of governors that Walz “dominated,” and praised his leadership as an example for other states to follow. Trump called Walz “an excellent guy.” 

“I was very happy with the last couple of days, Tim. You called up big numbers and the big numbers knocked them out so fast it was like bowling pins.”

Of course, many fans and critics alike have had a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Donald Trump – Had Nothing But Praise For Tim Walz

Some even commented with, “This explains why they went on a bashing spree as soon as he was announced. They were trying to get out in front of it before all this stuff came out.”

“I seem to remember reading a report of this conversation at the time.”

Another critic wrote, “Has ABC reported on whether he misrepresented his military rank or his going to Iraq? Or was that all the fault of sloppy journalists and inadequate fact checking by papers and magazines.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Oh man….and the hits keep coming. Exactly how dictators talk about squashing the hopes of their constituents.”

So far Donald Trump himself has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.
