It’s only been one hot minute since he’s been the President-Elect and it looks like he’s been making so many waves, some critics are surprised that he hasn’t created a tsunami yet.

According to the latest reports, Donald Trump taps former WWE executive Linda McMahon to serve as education secretary.

As many fans are probably aware of, McMahon is a co-chair of Trump’s presidential transition team and headed the Small Business Administration during his first presidency.

It’s also been noted that McMahon strongly opposes DEI programs, calling them “irrelevant to training skilled workers” adding that the policies “add costs and administrative burdens to all apprenticeship programs.”

“As Secretary of Education, Linda will fight tirelessly to expand ‘Choice’ to every State in America, and empower parents to make the best Education decisions for their families,” Trump said.

What’s Next For Donald Trump And His Cabinet?

Of course, the internet certainly has had a lot to say about the matter.

Some have even commented with, “I love that Trump is picking people who oppose DEI. I hope companies respond appropriately to his cabinet nominations and begin to get rid of DEI.”

“Linda McMahon will be a great education secretary and will be the last in such position as the Department of Education is closed.”

Another critic wrote, “Ah, Linda McMahon—stepping out of the ring and into the classroom, don’t you see? With Trump’s announcement, we’ve got a heavyweight entering the education arena, ready to body slam the bloated bureaucracy that’s been holding America’s students back.”

And then there was this comment as well: “This is AWESOME. Perfect to shut down the DOE and return education to the states and the people!”
