According to the latest reports, Donald Trump says Mexico and Canada should become the 51st and 52nd states if we are going to keep subsidizing them.

“We are subsidizing Canada to the tune of over a hundred billion dollars a year. We’re subsidizing Mexico for almost $300 billion.”

“If we’re gonna subsidize them, let ’em become a state. We’re subsidizing Mexico and we’re subsidizing Canada and we’re subsidizing many countries all over the world.”

“All I want to do is I want to have a level fast, but fair playing field.”

Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “Better yet, just cut them off, cold turkey.”

What’s Next For Donald Trump And His Administration?

“These countries have been benefitting from us for long enough, if they want in they need to bring something to the table besides more debt, more crime, drug cartels, and some tens of thousands more miles of coastland and border to protect.”

Another critic wrote, “Someone please explain why we are using money taken from hard-working Americans and subsidizing other countries instead of taking care of our own???”

“I really didn’t think I could love this man more than I already do, then he says stuff like this, and I actually CAN love him more!”

And then there was this comment as well: “Well, this would make it a lot easier to criminally prosecute Cartel members in Mexico and all the motorcycle gangs who import drugs from Canada. But then you’d open a Pandora’s box of problems on the immigration front.”

So far Donald Trump has not made any additional comments about the matter just yet.
