As many of our readers are aware by now, an FBI official addressing the media on Thursday said law enforcement is “confident” the suspect, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, acted alone in the attack that killed 14 people.

Kamala said in her statement: “Last night should have been a joyous celebration of the new year. Instead, a horrific incident occurred that left the New Orleans community mourning. The FBI is investigating this incident as an act of terrorism.”

“My thoughts are with the victims of this tragedy and their families.”

Kamala continued, “President Biden and I will continue to be briefed on this investigation, and our team remains in close contact with local officials. Any attack on any of our communities is reprehensible and unacceptable.”[

The internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “NOLA happened because Harris and Biden directed the FBI to focus on praying grandmother’s in abortion clinics, parents at school board meetings, Catholic Church attendees, and Trump supporters instead of watching out for ISIS terrorists inside our country.”

Another critic wrote, “A real leader would condemn terrorism and promise to find and prosecute every single person who was involved. A real leader would say that a terrorist attacked a group of innocent people and there is no excuse.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Those are powerful words. I’m sure the country is reassured. Btw, how was that weed and liquor fueled bender you were on in Hawaii?

Thoughts and prayers after the fact. Maybe if you’d taken action against terrorism earlier, it wouldn’t have come to our doorstep.”
