So much for being a superfan, right? Oprah Winfrey is making it pretty clear that she’s refusing to say Kamala Harris’s name, let alone even pretend that she knows her anymore. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Oprah Winfrey – Refuses To Say Kamala Harris’s Name

According to the latest reports, Oprah Winfrey says she won’t discuss the 2024 election before shutting down reports that she was paid $1M by the Harris campaign.

However, according to the Washington Examiner, Harris paid Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions $1 million on October 15. The payment supposedly came after Oprah hosted a town hall event for Harris in September. 

If that weren’t enough, Oprah also appeared at Harris’ final rally before Election Day where she called on people to vote “for healing over hate.”

Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.

Some comments included, “To me, paying celebrities to promote candidates is no different than paying for TV ad space. It’s all about paying to get the message across.”

What’s Next For Kamala Harris?

“I’m assuming the money was going to pay for the set, similar to how Harris paid Call Her Daddy $100k. That’s a lot of cheddar! It’s hard not to think there’s more to this than just a friendly endorsement.”

Another critic wrote, “You know if Oprah had just dressed like this, appeared au naturale. Took an outdoor walk with Kamala in similar fashion and had just a regular conversation that would have gone over much better.”

“But living in the celebrity lifestyle bubble that would never have occurred to them. The Harris campaign participated in wealth redistribution she took money from her supporters and gave it to her rich friends.”

And then there was this comment as well: “If Oprah just lied about the $1M payment she received from the Harris campaign, is it possible she lied about actually thinking Kamala was a competent candidate?”

So far Oprah Winfrey has not made any additional comments about the matter just yet.
