Polling Nostradamus Allan Lichtman Retiring After Botching The Election?
According to a new report, Allan Lichtman says he is taking time off after he completely botched his election prediction.
He said right after Donald Trump won the presidency against Kamala Harris: “My prediction for this presidential election was wrong. I own up to it right now. I am taking time off today.”
He continued, “My aim is to assess why the keys were wrong and what we can learn from this era and what the election means for the future of our country going forward.”
Former President Donald Trump won the election early Wednesday after reversing his 2020 losses in the crucial states of Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Donald Trump Wins The 2024 Election
CNN, ABC News, and NBC News, all called the race for Trump at around 5:30 a.m., following a Fox News call hours earlier. Trump captured the swing states of North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania before reaching Wisconsin.
Many fans and critics on both sides of the aisle commented on the matter with, “Not only was he horribly wrong, he was incredibly smug and condescending to anyone that questioned his conclusions.”
“I stopped taking these people seriously when they got it wrong in 2016.”
Another critic wrote, “The pollsters misjudged us because we don’t go out in public and throw hissy fits like the crazy left.”
“His aim should be to find another occupation…..after he seeks help from a mental health professional.”
And then there was this comment as well: “Do they really lack this much self awareness? Do they believe their own lies? He let his emotions cloud his judgment so bad that he truly believed she would win?”
“I hope we never hear from him or Ann Seltzer again.”
