Let’s just say that they are all doing an about face. There’s heavy speculation that suggests the mainstream media is panicking over Donald Trump and that’s why they are now changing the way that they operate. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
The Mainstream Media Is Panicking Over Donald Trump
According to the latest reports, it seems like the mainstream media is dismantling it. Chris Wallace is set to quit CNN as he apparently seems to think the mainstream media is dying and says he is thinking about getting into podcasting.
Wallace told the Daily Beast that streaming and podcasting is “where the action seems to be.”
“This is the first time in 55 years I’ve been between jobs. I am actually excited and liberated by that,” Wallace said. Wallace, who has ‘beef’ with Tucker Carlson, appears to be inspired by Tucker’s success away from the mainstream media.
It’s also been noted that Wallace signed a three-year contract with CNN in 2021 after leaving Fox News.
It goes without saying that both fans and critics on both sides of the aisle certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.
What’s Next For The Mainstream Media During The Donald Trump Administration?
Some even commented with, “Who’s going to tell Him that You need to be both likable and Honest to make a Podcast successful? Wallace should consult fellow CNN reject Don Lemon for podcast how-to tips.”
Another critic wrote, “Chris Wallace’s exit from CNN is just the latest sign that legacy media is crumbling.”
“Once commanding the narratives and setting the national conversation, networks like CNN are now struggling to hold their own viewers, let alone control public opinion.”
And then there was this comment as well: “People like Chris don’t survive in the podcasting world. They are mainstream media puppets that can’t survive without the manipulation of the mainstream networks. He will be the next Don Lemon.”
“We are watching the death spiral of legacy media in real-time. I’d be hard-pressed to find a group that deserves it more. X, podcasts and streaming is the future.”
