Excerpts from the tome reveal that the former First Lady is brutally honest in her memoir, including that time she wore a controversial jacket to a migrant detention center in 2018.

Melania wrote that the words on her coat were “discreet yet impactful” and were a clap back to “anonymously sourced reporting.”

According to Melania, she was determined “not to let the media’s false narratives affect my mission to help the children and families at the border.”

She adds that her slap to the media was designed to let them know “that their criticism would never stop me from doing what I feel is right. To make the point, I wore a particular jacket as I boarded the plane, a jacket that quickly became famous.”

Melania was a supermodel in her heyday so it makes sense that she would be tuned into fashion as a way of making statements. In her book she notes that her intention with the jacket was to let the media “know I was unconcerned with their opinions of me.”

Melania Trump Uses Fashion As A Statement

Melania Trump was born in Slovenia before immigrating to the U.S. She earned her citizenship in 2006 and notes that “I am sympathetic to all who wish to find a better life in this country.

As an immigrant myself, I intimately understand the necessary if arduous process of legally becoming an American.”

Melania’s book drops a month before the U.S. Presidential elections. Her husband Donald Trump is running, hoping for a second term as POTUS, and was the target of two assassination attempts in recent months.

The newest revelations are just the latest in a series of explosive claims brought to light in Trump’s book, which gets into areas where the former first lady disagrees with her husband.
