A recent event shed light on how close Donald Trump and JD Vance have become in a short period of time.

Which is a good thing considering that the POTUS and VPOTUS hopefuls could be spending a lot of time together in the White House if things go their way in November.

The 2024 presidential hopeful and his VP pick attended a work event on September 11 and put their friendship on display with a series of friendly exchanges.

Professional lip reader Nicola Hickling told The List that the conversation kicked off when Vance asked Trump if he shook someone’s hand. Trump replied that he didn’t and indicated that he was having second thoughts. Trump wanted to know from Vance if he thought he should “hang out with him?”

Trump then explained that he had not spoken to the person in question “for a very long time … We also go a very long way back.” The short exchange shows how the two men are in sync, seeking each other’s opinions at crucial times.

If Trump and Vance have a good thing going, the vibe definitely doesn’t extend to their competition.

Kamala Harris has chosen Tim Walz as her running mate for the 2024 presidential election and he mentioned their competition during an interview on MSNBC. Vance took exception to one of his comments and accused Walz of being a bully.

Americans will need to make up their minds in a few weeks about who will lead the nation and this week Trump and Harris had their first televised debate providing several talking points for Americans to chew on.

The campaign has been a challenging one for both parties, and in July Trump was the target of a failed assassination attempt at a political rally in Pennsylvania. He stated that his wife Melania Trump was watching the events unfold live on television and still cannot talk about it.

His son Barron Trump was nearby having a tennis lesson and someone ran up to tell him his father had been shot.

According to Trump, his only child with Melania rushed over to ask her what was happening. Barron has not spoken publicly about that day and now is in his first year of college at New York University.
