Kamala Harris’ running mate Tim Walz says it’s illegal to be gay in the state of Nebraska. He said, “Think about this. When I was a kid growing up in Nebraska, being gay was illegal. It’s still technically illegal.”

But for those who are not in the know, being gay in Nebraska is actually legal, according to reports, 

It’s also been added that the state also prohibits discrimination of orientation and gender identity in employment and housing.

Gay marriage has been recognized in the state since 2015. Of course, many fans and critics from both sides of the aisle sure did have a lot to say about the matter.

Did Tim Walz Go A Little Too Far In His Comments?

Some even commented with, “Every aspect of the Harris campaign is about spreading lies and propaganda.”

“Tim Walz is completely lying by saying it’s illegal to be gay in Nebraska. He knows the truth but he just can’t quit lying.”

Another critic wrote, “Walz is weird. Why is the Kamala campaign strategy to objectively lie to the American voter? The truth is nowhere near this campaign. I don’t see how they continue to spread this throughout our country and call themselves American.”

“Astounding the amount of lies the Kamala campaign tells the American ppl. Have they no shame? Without telling lies, these people would have nothing to say.”

And then there was this comment as well: “All Tim Walz does is lie in the most insulting ways possible, he’s simply a terrible human being. His IVF lie was just weird. Now he’s lying about homosexuality in Nebraska?”

“Why is he so consumed with male sexual attraction and bodily functions. This just doesn’t make sense.”
