Melania Trump – Was A Supermodel

Unlike Jill and Michelle, Melania was never on the cover of Vogue Magazine as a First Lady, despite being a supermodel.

Lou Henry Hoover, Herbert Hoover’s wife, was the first First Lady to appear on the cover of Vogue, in 1929. Since then 13 First Lady’s have appeared on the prestigious cover.

Several women, including Jacqueline Kennedy, Lady Bird Johnson, and Hillary Clinton, appeared in more than one issue.

Michelle Obama became First Lady in 2009 and departed the White House in 2017. During that time, Michelle was a Vogue cover girl an amazing three times!

Jill Biden is on the cover of the August 2024 issue, an honor to be sure. Yet Melania was never chosen to grace the cover during Donald Trump’s first and only term in office.

For some reason, Melania was not selected during her time in the White House although she was on the cover prior to this.

Melania Trump – Needs A Vogue Cover

Melania Trump appeared on the Magazine’s February 2005 issue, in her Christian Dior wedding gown, with the headline “Donald Trump’s New Bride.” The issue ran 14 pages about Melania and Donald and their extravagant wedding.

In 2019 Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, told CNN that cover girls are “women that we feel are icons and inspiring to women from a global perspective.” Given that sentiment, tell us if you think that Melania deserves to be on the Vogue cover if Donald Trump is reelected this year.

Donald Trump – And The Vogue Cover

Last year Donald Trump said on “The Megyn Kelly Show” that Melania Trump not appearing on Vogue’s cover during his presidency was sad, but “she doesn’t care.”

However, a secret recording from 2018 makes it seem that Melania told her former aide and close friend, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, that Vogue did want her on the cover.

According to Newsweek, Melania said “Vogue said like, oh, we want to do a profile. Profile? F*** you, profile. I don’t need no profile … It might be a cover. I’m like, might be a cover? I don’t give a f*** about Vogue and any magazine.”
