Last Monday’s (February 14) episode, an argument between sisters, Vannessa and Jakie, burst into flames when the latter brought several unhealthy foods for breakfast, such as sprinkled pancakes, assorted doughnuts, hash browns, eggs, and sausage. Vannessa appreciated all the mouth-watering edibles in front of her, but she got upset knowing that she cannot eat all of them.
When Vannessa reminded her sister about her weight goals, Jakie stated that she just wanted Vannessa to be happy and can eat whatever she wants. Jakie insisted that Vannessa can be on a diet and not deprive herself of delicious foods.

Even if Jakie explained that her sister can still eat the foods she liked, Vannessa didn’t support the idea as she hailed the unhealthy foods as drugs. She stated that she was addicted to foods and her sister cannot just give her some treats.
“Right now, I’m asking you to stop bringing fattening foods in the house. Stop bringing anything unhealthy into the house. Stop… you’re killing me,” Vannessa said.
Later that episode, Vannessa and her friend, Meghan Crumpler, joined therapy together and discussed their unpleasant situations. Vannessa also thought about moving away from their house to get rid of her sister who seemed unsupportive with her weight loss journey.

Vannessa recently paid a visit to Dr. Procter to have her weight checked. When Vannessa first saw the doctor, she weighed 446 pounds, and she made herself happy when she weighed 427 pounds in her last visit.
However, Vannessa recently disappointed herself when she weighed 441.6 pounds, which made her fail to have bariatric surgery. Dr. Procter advised her to weigh 400 pounds below to be a candidate for the said procedure.
Vannessa admitted that she was already in the urge of giving up, especially when she remembered that both her grandfather and mother died at the age of 51. “I started realizing, my grandfather died at 51. My mother died at 51. I’m already 42, fixing to be 43 years old, that only gives me seven years,” she stated.
Dr. Procter warned Vannessa that if she’s not careful with her food intake, she will not be around a lot longer, so he encouraged her to start making serious changes to her diet.
