Amy and Tammy Slaton have come a long way since the 1000-Lb Sisters started their weight loss journey. And through the years, their growing flock of followers have seen the two struggle. But the 1000-Lb Sisters stars just celebrated their health at a girls’ night out at a Kevin Gates concert. And fans cheered to see what happened when Amy posted pics on social media, noted People.
Tammy’s sibling received more than 25,000 likes on Instagram for her sweet display of her fun night with her sister. And Amy’s fans also commented about seeing the two celebrate the renewed health with a sisters’ night out. For instance, one follower wrote, “I’m so happy you sisters can make new memories. Seriously that makes me so happy.” And another gushed, “So happy the two of you can finally do fun things together like go out to concerts!!!” The concert came after Tammy shared a major milestone on her own social media.

And Tammy’s fans applauded to see the 1000-Lb Sisters star pose without the need for an oxygen tube. She also posted pics in which she didn’t use a filter. And among those showing support, Tammy’s Tammy’s weight loss surgeon, Dr. Eric Smith, made a comment. “So proud of you❤️,” wrote the surgeon.

But Amy’s and Tammy’s milestone of a concert together comes after Tammy achieved another major achievement. For the first time, 1000-Lb Sisters fans saw Tammy walking on her own after the weight loss surgery. The 1000-Lb Sisters star demonstrated her ability to move on her own on a shopping trip in Indiana. Before her weight loss surgery, Tammy needed a walker or wheelchair to move around.
However, 1000-Lb Sisters fans at one point in the series questioned if Tammy could lose enough weight to qualify for the surgery. But by going to an Ohio weight loss rehab facility, Slaton achieved that goal. And she went from 717 pounds to under 535 pounds to qualify. An episode of 1000-Lb Sisters showed Tammy’s excitement.

And the reality TV star admitted, “When I got on the scale and I saw the scale was at 534.7, I kinda stopped breathing for a second. I’m like 14 lbs. under my goal weight. From over 700, that’s a huge drop.” As a result of her success, Tammy shared that she felt “thrilled, proud, excited — just all the emotions. I proved everybody wrong. Everybody that doubted me, I finally got mine! My told-you-so moment!”
