Amy has been struggling with being a mother of two young children. However, Michael doesn’t help matters by his lack of help with these two children. Michael spent the first ten days of Glenn’s life due to covid. Unfortunately, things didn’t get better afterward.

Michael stated that He didn’t have bad Covid symptoms, he just had a headache. Michael was home alone for ten days and never even bothered to pick up the house for Amy while she was in the hospital. Fans quickly saw that Amy had no help at all from Michael. Amy has broken down more than once over this.

According to The Sun, Amy and Michael are very near divorce after their huge disconnect. An insider revealed that Amy has taken Glenn Halterman and Gage Halterman and moved in with her sister Tammy Slaton. According to the insider, “Amy says Michael is lazy and has been jealous of her attention toward the kids. They’ve been having trouble since last year.”

Fans certainly agree with Michael being lazy as seen on the latest episode of the show last week. While Amy struggled with two crying children, it was her siblings, not her husband that stepped in to help with the kids while Michael sat at a family function eating. Chris Combs and Amanda Slaton stepped in and calmed the kids and Amy. However, neither Amy nor Michael has addressed their separation.

Michael and Amy met in high school. Once Amy and Michael started dating they became inseparable. Amy and Michael eloped in 2017 but later had an onscreen wedding almost four years ago. Amy had weight loss surgery to lose enough weight to be able to have the children she had always desired. Now Amy has her sons, Gage, and Glenn.

On top of raising her two sons alone, Amy and other cast members are fighting with TLC for more money to continue their reality show.
