ABC The BacheloretteSeason 16 spoilers and updates indicate that the ABC network is taking no chances. Apparently, there are extras ready to be part of Clare Crawley’s upcoming season, should someone end up testing positive for Covid-19. Here’s what you need to know.
The Bachelorette Season 16 News – Extras Cast Due To Coronavirus Concerns
According to the Bachelor blogger Reality Steve, he says that even though ABC has enough potential suitors to sweep Clare off her feet, there will be several more extras just in case someone from the initial 25 tests positive for the coronavirus.
Reality Steve wrote on his blog this week, “I’m hearing this season they have way more guys flown out there than will eventually end up on the show, and that’s to have other guys ready to go if any test positive for COVID upon arrival. But in typical Bachelor fashion, it’s not like they’re telling any of the ‘extra’ guys they flew out that they’re basically just a standby person.”
However, no one knows just how many extras will be waiting in the wings at the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, California and just how long they will be there before giving up hope on getting their chance to be on the show.
The Bachelorette Season 16 News – Filming Set To Begin Soon
Meanwhile, reports also indicate that Clare’s season has been largely recast because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Filming was supposed to start back in March but was postponed after the film and television industry decided to suspend all production to help curb the spread of the virus.

Although not confirmed, there are further reports indicating that the cast and crew on the set of The Bachelorette Season 16 will continue to be tested throughout the entire filming process. There’s a possibility that they might be tested every third day, or perhaps even more frequently. While the ABC network has kept rather quiet about all of the details, this new season is expected to begin airing in July.
