Ally Lewber Reveals What Happened When James Kennedy Was Arrested

Ally Lewber was with James Kennedy when he was arrested in December, and the Vanderpump Rules alum was accused of domestic violence. This week, Ally opened up and explained what happened. 

The Arrest Came After Drinking

When Ally opened up, she spoke with People for the first time since all the drama went down after they attended a Christmas party at Kathy Hilton’s place. It turns out that Ally, who likes to cast birth charts and do spiritual astrologer stuff, was busy inside, and when she finished, she noticed that James was wired. 

At first, she thought he might have been drinking “coffee,” but soon realized that he had been drinking alcohol. So, they started arguing about it. James Kennedy, as most people know, struggled with sobriety for years.  By the time they arrived at their apartment, the fight was in full force, and someone called the cops.

Notably, there was no physical contact. The legal counsel for James had already said that there should be no charges for alleged body-slamming. In part, Ally Lewber told the outlet:

I don’t know who called the cops, but the cops showed up. They assessed the situation, and I was not hurt physically. Emotionally, yes. But yeah, that’s kind of how that night played out, unfortunately.

The Couple Split

On December 17, TMZ reported that James Kennedy was seen helping Ally leave their apartment. She moved into a nearby Airbnb, and apparently, her parents joined her. Some people thought that they might take a cooling off period.

Meanwhile, others thought she just wanted to spend Christmas with her family. At the time, it didn’t seem as if they would split. However, they are no longer romantically involved. While James tries to stay sober, he was recently spotted out and about with his pup, Hippie, and Bravo fans hope it means he sticks to his sobriety efforts. 

A Nice Person When Sober

Back when James dated Lala Kent, they both tried to stop drinking. While Lala succeeded, he fell several times. Despite people rooting for him, he still drank on occasion. He seems like a nice person when he’s sober. Unfortunately, though, fans can’t help but notice that he gets aggressive and ugly with alcohol. 

James failed with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, and now, it seems that he has lost Ally Lewber as well. Now, he tries again and seems determined to stay on the straight and narrow. However, his job doesn’t seem to be ideal for that. He’s a DJ and plays music at packed concerts where everybody parties hard. 

Fans can only try and encourage him to try and stay sober, because they genuinely like him and hope he doesn’t throw his life away.
