American Idol Alum Kellie Pickler Lost Her Husband Kyle Jacobs

American Idol contestant  Kellie Pickler lost her husband Kyle Jacobs who allegedly committed suicide. She was on a good road in life until now and she did well in the music industry despite not taking home the prize in season 5.

She sold nearly a million copies of her debut album, Small Town Girl. Later, she won the Mirror Ball trophy in Dancing with the Stars and went on to become a co-host on Pickler & Ben. But her life will never be the same again.

The talent show produces some winners who simply don’t do well. However, on occasion, those who don’t take home the crown go on and do extremely well. Actually, several contestants performed flawlessly on Dancing with the Stars. Kellie actually won season 16 of the show. Along the road of her life, success seemed right at her fingertips. She and Kyle tied the knot in 2011 and they seemed to be totally happy together.

Along her road to success, the American Idol star actually met Dolly Parton. At the time, she was dating Jordin Tootoo, who played for the Nashville Predators.

That didn’t last though. But later, after dating for over two years, she became engaged to Kyle Jacobs and they tied the knot the following year. But this weekend, the news arrived that she lost her husband who seemed like a cheerful sort of man.

People Magazine reported that the death of Kyle seems to have been by suicide. The outlet noted, “Police and the Nashville Fire Department arrived at the location and found the songwriter “deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.” At the moment, authorities are apparently investigating his death as an “apparent suicide.”

The American Idol alum couldn’t find Kyle, so she and her assistant went searching for him. Discovering that one room was locked, they called the police for help. Immediately after the news broke, people went to visit Kyle’s Instagram page. There, he’d posted about working on Hey World which went Platinum. Clearly, it was a high point for the songwriter.

American Idol and other music fans said their goodbyes with a sense of disbelief and deep sadness. Jay Allen wrote, “No words… love you, brother. You’ll be missed deeply.”

Meanwhile, Mary Butler said, “Kyle, we missed you at 30A Songwriters last month. You know you were one of my favorites. I ask Joe where you were and he said you couldn’t make it. I actually had the thought that something wasn’t right. I’ll miss your sweet spirit, your talent, your great smile, and your big hugs. Heaven gained a good one.”

Jennifer Wayne wished that things could be different, saying, “I don’t even know why I’m typing this because I know you’re not here… you’re home and with God. But I feel helpless not being able to reach out to you… And maybe you’re reading from heaven… thank you for being the greatest friend to me and big brother that I never had…”
