American Pickers: American Pickers Star Danielle Colby Haunted By Death Hoax!

“I’m pretty sure I’m not f—ing dead” is the direct quote straight from the horse’s mouth on the matter. It would seem that one of the stars of the History Channel’s American Pickers has become the target of a death hoax.

It was posted not too long ago that tragedy had struck the star at the young age of 48 and she had passed away, but it seems that Colby is still alive and kicking and posting on social media, so unless there’s something she’s not telling us, it looks like she is just fine and dandy and clapping back at the people who posted this, telling them to please use a better photo when it is actually her time to go. She also quoted Mark Twain, saying, “The reports of my death was an exaggeration.” have to admire her sense of humor about the entire thing.

American Pickers – More Than One?

She isn’t the only one who has had to deal with death Hoaxes recently, it appears that Frank Fitz also was the victim of one as well, but fans had more of a reason to speculate considering how precarious Fitz’s health has been over the years, the back surgery and then the stroke, according to friends however, just like Danielle, Frank is still alive and kicking.

American Pickers –  Becomes Her

Apparently the hoax for Colby was started as a result of one episode of the show in which Colby got suddenly ill and had to step away from filming for a little while during season 23, episode 15, “Flea Market Junkie”.

Her absences wasn’t immediately addressed, leading to speculation among fans. However, Colby eventually said that her condition was caused by Uterine Fibroids and that due to the severity she was going to have to have her entire uterus removed whether or not the biopsy came back as cancerous.

She said that the condition was extremely painful and that she was getting iron infusions twice a week along with other medication to help manage the condition. She returned to American Pickers in Season 24.

American Pickers – Marred By Difficulty

That is not the only painful condition that Comby has had to endure, in Dec. of 2023, she underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her face that was causing “incredible pain” on her neck, jaw, ear and neck all on her right side. It was causing Trigeminal Neuralgia.

Thankfully, after the surgery to remove the tumor, that pain was almost all the way gone according to Colby.

“The pain throughout my entire body that has prevented me from doing so much is almost gone.” and we’re only too happy for her! Not only is she now back in American Pickers for Season 25, she is also a burlesque dancer! Tripping the light fantastic with the Burlesque de Moustache dance troop. We’re glad she’s still with us.
