1000-Lb. Sisters Spoilers – The Slaton Family Earns Very Little
1000-Lb. Sisters spoilers reveal that, according to Daily Record, Tammy and Amy have recently opened up about their struggle with money and are now said to believe they could make more money if they broke their current contract with the TLC Network.
The Sun reports that not only Tammy and Amy, but their half-brother Chris Coombs and half-sister Amanda believe they could make more money if they left their current production contract with TLC. However, it could just as easily be the case that they would make far less.
1000-Lb. Sisters Spoilers – What Do the Slaton’s Earn from 1000-Lb. Sisters?
Tammy, 36, has been front and center for the show in recent seasons and a source close to the Slatons shared that she makes a mere $2-3K per episode. The source added that Tammy had to spend all of her earnings from the contract just to pay for her 14 months in weight rehab with no other support from producers.
Tammy’s half-sister Amanda, who joined the show during season three, only earns about $700 a month for her appearances on 1000-Lb. Sisters. Per The Mirror, the insider said that Tammy’s sister Amy makes the most on the show because her two sons Gabe, 7, and seven-month-old Glenn also have contracts.
1000-Lb. Sisters Spoilers – Bound by Contract
It is, however, worth noting that Amy isn’t pocketing her son’s money but is instead putting it into a trust fund that will go toward her boys’ college tuition. Not only is the family collectively upset about their low pay, but they also feel that the producers are not telling their stories truthfully.
The source said that every time one of the 1000-Lb. Sisters cast attempts to have a “serious conversation” in front of the camera, producers edit it out. Everyone in season four Part A including Tammy’s new husband is bound by their contracts to also film Part B and is prohibited from accepting any other commercial opportunities for the duration.
1000-Lb. Sisters Spoilers – Will Luxury Vacation to Greece Be Enough?
Part B hasn’t started filming yet, although producers are reportedly in talks about taking the cast on an all-expenses-paid trip to Greece. The source said that the luxury vacation probably won’t be enough to convince the family to fulfill their contracts.
The insider claims that the Slaton family is already in talks with another production company to start filming a spinoff series. Be sure to catch a new episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters every Tuesday at 7 PM CST on TLC. Return here often for more 1000-Lb. Sisters spoilers, news, and updates.
