Blake Moynes Opens Up About Supporting Katie Thurston

Blake Moynes appeared in Season 17 of The Bachelorette with Katie Thurston, who currently fights cancer. Later, he met up with her on Bachelor In Paradise in Season 9. Although they split, the ABC stars seemed friendly towards each other. Recently, he spoke about how he reached out to his ex to support her.

The Conservationist Talked To Jax 

Blake is a piece of eye-candy with a romantic sounding job conserving wildlife and also filming nature. Things didn’t work out work out for him and Katie though. Later, she became engaged to Jeff Arcuri, and in March this year, they tied the knot. So, Blake can’t physically be around her to hold her hand.

Speaking with Jax Taylor from The Valley on his In the Mind of a Man podcast, Blake Moynes mentioned Katie and that he’s been listening to her posts and podcasts about her struggles with cancer. He also chatted about his work with wildlife in the episode titled, “From The Bachelorette to the Bush with Blake Moynes.”

How Is The Wildlife Man Supporting Katie?

After talking about how he might have come on a bit “strong” with Katie, Blake explained that the reality hits after the show, and both of them realized they didn’t have a future together. Since then, Blake was considered for The Bachelor but he’s moved away from that sort of thing now, and he even turned down “a Netflix” show. 

However, that doesn’t mean he’s not communicating with Katie Thurston. He said that he’s been “following along” on Katie’s podcast. But, he added, “I’m not going to be on the phone with her obviously.” That’s because he is her “ex.” However, he told Jax that he “did reach out to her and left her a long video message giving her all the support.”

When E! News shared the story on Instagram, ABC fans were able to comment on Blake and Katie. Many people like that he reached out to support her. At the moment, she’s in a bit of a limbo because of some conflicting test results. Nevertheless, she’s not well.

One follower said, “He’s such a good guy.” And another one opined, “There’s still love there.” When a follower wondered why Blake even bothered to comment on his ex, another fan said, “He’s just showing that he let bygones be bygones and supporting in the biggest fight of her life!“

Most people seem to like Blake Moynes, and a fan wrote, “Awww. He’s such sweet man, with a great Heart !! I love him !!” Echoing the sentiment, someone else said, “Thank you Blake !!! Shows what kind of man you are.”
