Blake Shelton Hints “The Voice” Return, Notes Comparison To Pat SajakThe Voice fans were shocked in 2023 when Blake Shelton abruptly left the show. After being with the reality TV series since 2011 and for 23 consecutive seasons, the singer noted he needed a break and it was time to do something else. His wife, Gwen Stefani, would take his lead and leave in 2024, just before Season 25.

Still, is there a possibility he could make a comeback?

Blake Shelton Teases Return To “The Voice”

During a recent interview with Extra TV, Shelton revealed that he’s not planning to return to The Voice; however, he also wouldn’t rule it out.

While he states that he doesn’t plan on working for the show again, he also notes, “who knows” and that he “can’t say” he won’t come for a surprise appearance.

Meanwhile, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Blake details “one condition” to a return to The Voice, and that if the show could get the four original coaches back for one season or a “one-off”.

When the series first aired, The Voice’s coaches included Shelton, with Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine.

Levine left after 16 seasons, while Green and Aguilera’s tenures with The Voice were shorter.

Of course, one really good thing came out of the show, and that was Shelton’s current wife, Gwen Stefani. He met her when she joined in Season 7. They started dating in 2015, were engaged by 2020, and then tied the knot in 2021.

Shelton notes during the interview with Extra that he left The Voice because of the toll of nonstop filming took on him. He compared his Voice tenure fatigue to Wheel of Fortune’s Pat Sajak.

The WOF host is leaving his legendary role at the game show after 41 years. Blake states that he did The Voice for 23 straight seasons so he “knows what you feel like, Pat!” Shelton adds that if, “you don’t have a family and a life that much you could do it, but something has to give.”
