Julie Chrisley Admits To Daughter Savannah She Is Facing ‘Humbling’ Times

The matriarch of “Chrisley Knows Best” Julie Chrisley, and her husband Todd Chrisley reported to their respective prisons on Tuesday, January 17. With Todd serving his 12 years of jail time at FCI Marianna in Florida, and Julie serving her 7 years of jail time at the Federal Medical Center Lexington, Kentucky.

Before her parents reported to their various prisons, Savannah Chrisley sat with her mom for the last time at her “Unlocked” podcast to discuss how “humbling” this period of their lives is.

Julie Chrisley — Julie Tells Savannah That Their Family Issues Were “Helping Us To Grow”

Speaking with her mother, Savannah said that she has prayed countless times for a change in their situation yet nothing happened, she ended up concluding there might be a reason for her unanswered prayers.

“I’m in a place in my faith to where it’s a difficult spot because I feel like there’s prayer and prayer and prayer and nothing’s happening. Like we said, maybe it’s part of a bigger plan. Maybe all of these things not happening are not happening because they’re helping us.”

Julie, 50, concurred with her daughter and, adding to what Savannah, 25, said, Julie acknowledged that her family now “have a better understanding that we’re not entitled to anything and that we are no better than anyone else to have to sit in the valley for a minute.”

Continuing Julie said, “We have had a beautiful, blessed life in many ways, and we’ve had access to be able to do things and do them when we wanted to do them, and do them on our time frame,”

Julie went on to add, “We don’t have that right now. God has a way of humbling you, and I think that’s a lot of what has happened and what has continued to happen.”

Julie Chrisley — Julie says She “Have Become Stronger”

Ever since the first day Julie and her husband Todd were convicted for fraud and tax evasion in June courtesy of their estranged son Kyle Chrisley, the couple has been vocal about their faith in God and their expectations for a change in their situation.

In her conversations with her daughter, Julie once again revealed that she’s still hopeful for a change. “I’ve always been a good person. I’ve always tried to help people. I’ve always tried to do the right thing. But I’ve also learned that man will let you down and that people are not always who they say they are,” said Julie. “That people don’t always have your best intentions at heart.”

Julie also said, “But I have become stronger in knowing that I’m going to get through it. That I may have some bumpy roads ahead. That my kids may have some bumpy roads ahead, my husband. But we’re going to get through it.”
