Savannah Chrisley And Colton Underwood Once Dated Briefly

The star of “Chrisley Knows Best” Savannah Chrisley and the ” The Bachelorette” alum Colton Underwood dated very briefly in 2017. Their relationship was so brief that could have very narrowly missed being called a date.

The two reality tv stars looked back at their dating days especially when they first met. In the recent April 25 episode of Savannah’s “Unlocked” podcast which was titled “My Gay Ex-Lover,” Savannah shared that she took one look at Colton and knew he was gay.

“When we met for the first time, I knew you were gay. Like, I knew it.” She went on to share that their meeting happened when she was fresh out of her relationship with ex Luke Kennard.

“It was the ACM Awards. It was after Luke Kennard and I broke up, I was like, ‘Alright, screw this.’ You know how it goes. You go through a breakup.” Coincidentally, Colton was also fresh out of his relationship with ex Aly Raisman so he quickly chipped in “I was coming off of a breakup too, and I was just like, ‘Oh, why not. Let’s go see.'”

Savannah Chrisley — Savannah And Colton Had No Connection

Savannah acknowledged that they both didn’t click like they were supposed to because they were both not attracted to each other. “there was no connection whatsoever,” said Savannah.

Colton concurred with Savannah and jokingly said, “When I say, ‘It’s not you, it’s me,’ I truly mean that, and obviously, I’ve proven that at this point.” However, their lack of connection wasn’t the only reason the two separated so fast. Savannah’s dad Todd Chrisley also had a hand in fastening their breakup.

Colton told the “Growing Up Chrisley” star, “I remember riding to the carpet with your dad and he leans over and he goes, ‘Son, my daughter is not ready for a man like you.’ And I was like, ‘Todd, I’m not ready for your daughter either.’ I didn’t say that, but I just remember him saying that to me.”

Two years after the two broke up, Colton went on to become the lead in “The Bachelorette” season 23. Two more years after, Colton came out as gay.

In April 2021, the 31-year-old former footballer announced to the world via an interview with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts that it took him a long time to realize and accept that he is gay.

“Obviously this year has been a lot for a lot of people and it’s probably made a lot of people look themselves in the mirror and figure out who they are and what they’ve been running from or what they’ve been putting off in their lives,”

He continued, “And for me, I’ve ran from myself for a long time, I’ve hated myself for a long time. I’m gay and I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it.”
