Savannah Chrisley Opens Up About Brief Romance With Country Singer Nate Smith And How It Ended

Romance with country singer Nate Smith may have ended, but Savannah Chrisley is not ready to let go of the “great experience” she got from the relationship.

Savannah Chrisley, 25, opened up on the May 9 episode of her podcast “Unlocked with Savannah” about her recent romantic life, which includes a swift relationship with an upcoming singer.

“It was such a great experience,” the reality star related to her friend Erin Duga, revealing that she has “so much respect for him.”

“It was just a tough situation for everyone involved,” she continued. “But then also, it’s so hard for anyone to understand the level of trauma that’s going on in my life right now. And also his career, it’s like freakin’ taking off.”

And while Chrisley believes that Smith deserves all the success that he’s getting, she sadly couldn’t be there for him in a way she felt a partner should be.

“But what comes along with that is he needs someone who’s going to be able to go to those things and enjoy them with him,” Chrisley explained. “And there’s no way for me to do it without feeling guilty for leaving the kids.”

And by kids she means her 16-year-old brother Grayson and 10-year-old niece Chloe, whom she gained custody of after her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, both 50, were sent to prison for fraud related crimes. Even though the couple are legally contesting their sentence, they have both checked into prison and will be serving 12 and 7 years if their current sentences remain unchanged.

“I have to figure out what a healthy balance is going to be of being able to have a personal life while having the kids and everything else involved,” Savannah Chrisley said in her podcast, adding that when she and Smith were together, “We had so much fun, like, the best time ever.”

She went on to call the relationship “bittersweet,” confessing that she’s still torn up about how it ended. You can still find her wondering whether he could be the right guy.
