Jon Gosselin fought hard for his son who ended up in a mental health institution. Horror stories arrived alleging that Kate Gosselin locked him away and dumped him like a dog at a shelter. More followed, and Kate got enraged. Nowadays, he’s estranged from the other sextuplets on Jon and Kate Plus 8, bar his sister, Hannah.
Collin Gosselin loved Jon Gosselin’s former girlfriend, Colleen Conrad and he looked up to her as a mother. Naturally, she defended the young man when his mom and family started slamming him. No wonder the TLC alum steers clear of too much social media. His story resonated with TLC fans who feel very sad about his short life.
Collin Gosselin Shares A Rare & Compassionate Post
This week, the TLC alum shared about something close to him. In his Instagram post, he shared some photos of a friend. So, he sweetly brought his health issues to the attention of his Jon and Kate Plus 8 fans. The poor guy suffered from a heart attack and doesn’t seem to be very well-off.

Collin Gosselin told his followers that his friend needed “open heart surgery.” Additionally, he felt apologetic as he seldom uses social media, and asks for very little. In his caption, the Jon and Kate Plus 8 alum also wrote, in part:
Edwin is a great father and a humble guy. He was my manager when I waited tables at Applebees about two and a half years ago, and with his kind soul and great humor we became best friends…I believe I was given this platform to help and inspire others….I appreciate every single one of you for taking the time to read this.
