The Dance Mom Reunion spoilers are here. Fans never thought they would see the day when the cast would get back together. Here’s everything you need to know about this new special, including where to watch.
Dance Moms Cancellation – What Happened?
The original Dance Moms series ran from 2011 to 2019. According to the Dance Moms spoilers, Lifetime canceled the show on June 5, 2020. The network severed ties amid Abby Lee Miller‘s accusations of racism among the cast members.
Both Adriana Smith and Camille Bridges accused her of racism. Lifetime decided not to move forward with the reality series, which impacted the cast and crew members.
“We are evaluating the future of the show but currently there are no plans to air,” Lifetime said in a statement to People.
The cable network also had “no plans to air” the spinoff series Abby’s Virtual Dance Off. In the meantime, Abby took to social media to issue an apology, including those in the cast she hurt. Since then, Abby has appeared on the new E! series, House of Villains.
“I genuinely understand and deeply regret how my words have affected and hurt those around me in the past, particularly those in the Black community,” Abby wrote. “To Kamryn, Adriana, and anyone else I’ve hurt, I am truly sorry. I realize that racism can not just come from hate, but also ignorance. No matter the cause, it is harmful, and it is my fault.”
