Dance Moms Star Abby Lee Miller Sues A Hotel
Dance Moms was in the news recently because Jojo Siwa did so well in Dancing with the Stars. She didn’t win but led the competition all the way until right at the end. Possibly, Abby cheered her along her journey. Mind you, Abby has other problems on her mind. And, she’s not happy with the Hampton Inn & Suites in Santa Monica. It’s not only the door crushing her that got up her nose, and she has other complaints. Whilst it might be pet-friendly, in Abby’s opinion, it seems it’s not all that wheelchair-friendly
The news about Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller suing the hotel’s parent company came via TMZ. The outlet said they there obtained documents that outlined her claim. “Abby says she was leaving the bathroom when her back left wheel got caught under the sliding bathroom door — and when she attempted to free herself, the more than 300-pound door came crashing down.” Additionally, it took time for her to get help.
Dance Moms Star Reportedly Had To Scream For Help
Abby Lee Miller apparently stayed in the hotel for about six months back in 2020, and presumably, she won’t be a returning customer. She said that she had to scream for help and she ended up in the hospital. An ambulance came along and she ended up needing physiotherapy. Reportedly, she suffered injuries “to her head and shoulder.” Unfortunately, other complaints involved the laundry that she said wasn’t wheelchair friendly.
According to the documents, the Dance Moms star also had problems with service carts blocking passageways. Then, she allegedly couldn’t reach the door handles to access the gym and the pool. Actually, considering her physical state, which must be hugely frustrating, Abby seems to have struggled with the facilities provided. Fans might recall that attention to details matters to the former dance pro.
Lawsuit For About 8 Million
TMZ noted that Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller is looking for a settlement of 8.5 Million. The documents cited “negligence, emotional distress, discrimination and false imprisonment.” Apparently, the hotel’s parent company has not yet made a statement about the lawsuit.
