Doubling Down With Derricos – Deon And Karen Derricos’ Shocking Divorce
Doubling Down with the Derricos stars Deon and Karen filed for divorce. It secretly happened earlier this month. The U.S. Sun broke the news on Friday, June 14. Their shocking split came as viewers witnessed their marital problems on the TLC show.
TMZ reported their divorce was already official. The couple didn’t waste time with the proceedings. Karen and Deon filed for divorce on Tuesday, June 4. They tried to do it quietly since the current season is airing.
The judge approved their divorce. The court documents were made public shortly thereafter. According to the documents, Deon will pay $1,166 for child support. Karen was not ordered to pay child support since she’s responsible for their children’s health insurance.
She will also keep her last name as Derrico. The parents will split legal and physical custody of their kids. The couple made their debut on TLC in 2020.
Karen and Deon share triplets, twins, quintuplets, and other children. Their oldest daughter, Darian, wasn’t mentioned in the court documents because she is now 18 years old.
Doubling Down With The Derricos – Faces Cancellation?
The news of Deon and Karen’s divorce has fans wondering about the future of their television show. It’s likely that TLC will pick up cameras and film the aftermath of their divorce. Or, the show could get replaced by The Baldwins.
Season 5 of Doubling Down with the Derricos is currently airing. It shows the couple dealing with tension in their marriage. They can’t see eye-to-eye when it comes to their house or Darian’s education.
The show has suffered low ratings, as a result. On June 9, TV Ratings Guide shared that Season 5 was at number 49 in the Top 50 cable shows for the 18-49 demographic. Fans on Reddit discussed the divorce’s impact on the future of the show.
“I am sure they will continue to do the show divorced. They need to get money somehow for all those kids. But really only $1,166 a month for ALL THOSE KIDS!???” one fan remarked.
“Another TLC reality couple bites the dust! So this season will be the decline?” another user asked.

That is so sad. He must not have been making as much as he pretended to pay such a small amount. Maybe it’s best for Karen and she can get her career back. Almost seems like deon tried to control her by making all those kids.
