Dr. Jen Arnold is a highly qualified medical professional, recognized for her work as a neonatologist at the Boston Children’s Hospital. The former The Little Couple TV star also works with Harvard Medical School, and she recently cautioned against the consumption of raw milk.
Current Trends Indicate More Raw Milk Consumption
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is President Donald Trump’s pick for the Department of Health and Human Services boss is all about encouraging more natural foodstuffs. That’s not a bad thing, given all the processed foods that people eat. However, Dr. Jen is cautioning against the current trend for raw milk.
The former TLC star is not alone in claiming it might not be good for you. The New York Times cited the C.D.C.’s National Outbreak Reporting System, noting that “Between 1998 and 2018, at least 2,645 people fell ill after drinking raw milk…228 of them were hospitalized; three died.”
What Is Wrong With Unpasteurized Dairy Products?
On Instagram this week, Dr. Jen Arnold disagreed with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who seems to be against pasteurization. As a fully qualified doctor, she expressed her concerns, saying, “As a physician, I’ve witnessed tragedies that no family should have to endure due to serious bacterial infections from [the] consumption of unpasteurized dairy products.”

Talking about trending social media posts encouraging raw milk, the TLC alum felt obliged to point out the downside. Dr. Jen added:
In babies, rare but serious infections can cross the placenta, leading to miscarriage, stillbirth, or life-threatening illness in newborns. It’s why pregnant individuals are advised to avoid unpasteurized dairy, deli meats, and certain refrigerated foods that can harbor dangerous bacteria.
The neonatal specialist ended her cautionary post by pleading with people to stay away from raw milk because it is “not safe.”

Several fans of The Little Couple show said that they’d like to see her appointed as the “Health and Human Services” overseer. Of course, it’s unlikely to happen, especially as she lambasted Donald Trump for his stance on DEI employees.
