However, viewers didn’t see everything that occurred. For instance, as revealed below, the Golden Wedding guests enjoyed an intimate feast with newlyweds Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner. And that took place only after a private reception. Plus: Learn what Gerry shared about the wedding cakes!

Golden Wedding Spoilers – An Intimate Feast

The Golden Bachelor ended its freshman season with Theresa Nist accepting Gerry Turner’s proposal. And after the finale, the Golden Wedding aired live. A flock of reality TV contestants from Bachelor Nation participated in a non-televised private reception and feast, per Showbiz.

And though all the participants received appetizers, the actual wedding feast involved an intimate scene. For instance, only friends and family dined with newlyweds Theresa and Gerry. And they did so after hors d’oeuvres including meatballs, a vegetable platter, and a charcuterie board.

But those who view the cocktails as the highlight of any event felt satisfied. And the Golden Bachelor stars Theresa and Gerry used their televised romance to inspire their three signature cocktails. For instance, the One Headlight cocktail recalled their date in a car without headlights. And a cocktail dubbed the Birthday Suit brought back memories of Theresa wearing a robe.

The private reception guests enjoyed a full dinner, in contrast to those at the televised reception who nibbled on hors d’oeuvres. And it started with a salad course, followed by three main course options.

A Caprese salad featuring basil, tomato, and mozzarella cheese became popular in the 1950s, when both Theresa and Gerry were born. And guests could choose for their main course from filet mignon, Alaskan halibut, or a vegetarian option of eggplant parmesan. However, the wedding cake finished the evening.

And Gerry and Theresa agreed on a four-tier wedding cake entirely covered with edible gold leaf, per Yahoo. The cake perched on a gold cake stand, and proved the perfect dessert for the wedding featuring Turner, 72, and Nist, 70, exchanging vows at the La Quinta Resort and Club in La Quinta, California. The Golden Bachelor  fan favorite Susan Noles officiated the nuptials.

And in addition to eating cake, guests including Dean Unglert, Caelynn Miller-Keyes, Jade Roper Tolbert and Tanner Tolbert, Wells Adams, Tayshia Adams, Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk, and new Bachelor Joey Graziadei danced throughout the night.

But Turner shared that the wedding cake felt like the best part. And he confessed, “I’ll just be in a hurry to get through dinner to get to the cake!” Guests could choose from two flavors. And Gerry opted for vanilla with chocolate mousse and cappuccino cream frosting, while Nist went for raspberry and lemon flavors.
