One of the joys that we have watching ‘The Voice,’ apart from discovering contestants with really amazing voices, is seeing Gwen Stefani in her element. She’s this mentor that you can watch and genuinely wish she was your mentor. She’s kind, she’s funny, she’s understanding, the whole package.
But according to insiders, her emotional attachment to her job is getting almost too intense that she’s considering quitting.
Gwen Stefani Could “Graduate” Out of ‘The Voice’ Following Season 26 That Made Her Cry Too Much
Season 26 may be Gwen Stefani’s last hurrah on the long-running NBC competition show. She has already spent ten years as one of the show’s four coaches, and get this, she met and fell in love with her husband Blake Shelton while the two of them were coaches on the show.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and the ‘Bouquet’ hitmaker may finally be saying goodbye after her decade of non-consecutive run on the show.
According to a source speaking to The Mirror, Stefani is already playing with the idea of following in her husband’s footsteps and leaving ‘The Voice’ behind.

“She has said several times while filming that she’s even more of an ‘emotional wreck’ this season than she ever has been,” the source said. “It was nonstop emotions, crying throughout this entire journey but you can tell it’s mostly rooted in joy and deep pride for the work she’s done.”
However, it’s not written in stone that she won’t be back next season, as she’s still in the going back-and-forth stage.
“She never outright said she was done with the show but it seems like she’s quitting, yeah. She’s done I think,” the insider added. “Gwen wants to spend more time with her family now that Blake is also off the show.”
They continued: “She really found a second home in Oklahoma and seeing Blake walk away from the show and prioritize his own music and their family life, I think made her realize what her next chapter can look like.”
Stefani joined ‘The Voice’ in 2014. Before she joined, Shelton had been a coach on the series for three years. Before he finally said goodbye in 2023, he’d become one of the show’s mainstays.
This season of ‘The Voice’ also gave birth to a lot of controversies, as fans began to claim that the show was clearly rigged.
