Sister Wives season 17 is really showing Kody in a very poor light. Actually, he seems to be in a perpetual rage and acts in a very toxic way. TLC fans often see Kody yelling at the wives, or talking to them in a horrible way, Actually, it appears to some folks, that he’s being verbally abusive. In fact, it doesn’t end with the wives. This season, fans heard him speak disparagingly about his own sons. Additionally, fans have seen him say some quite horrid things about Meri. So, some fans want the show to end. 

Sister Wives fans heard that Kody seems very angry because he’s losing control of things. Of course, that is precisely why fans love that Christine is independent now. Actually, control seems more important to Kody than love. Perhaps that’s why he chose to live with Robyn, as she seems obedient at all times. But, how much of his rants are just for adding drama to the show?

Sister Wives – Star Kody Brown Isn’t Acting?

Katie Joy from Without A Crystal Ball told her Instagram fans that she chats with Christine’s aunt, Kristyn Decker. According to her, “his hot headed behavior was a reason AUB leaders were not happy with him doing a reality show.” Nowadays, it becomes clear that fans are not seeing a big happy family, so the premise for the show seems to have evaporated. 

Katie also cited Aunt Kristyn as saying that the Sister Wives patriarch “isn’t [putting on] an act.” Allegedly, “[he’s] always…been an abusive husband.”  Kristyn also feels disappointed that her niece remains with the show. And, the reasoning behind that makes a lot of sense. Katie Joy wrote, “the show is what fuels Kody’s narcissism and bank account.” And, that means the toxic behavior spills over onto the kids.

Sister Wives – TLC Fans Comment On Toxic Persona

Sister Wives fans engaged in the conversation, and one of them said, “The show needs to be canceled. They keep making kody rich while he abuses his whole family in front of the whole country.”

Another follower opined, “They just need to cancel the show! It’s not good for anyone at this point.”

As there are people who watch the show who suffered in abusive relationships, some of them find season 17 disturbing. One of them wrote, “this season has been very triggering.”
