Todd Chrisley’s Attorney Comments On His Safety
Todd Chrisley’s attorney Jay Surgent spoke out about the reality TV star. He admits that he’s safe where he’s currently serving time.
However, a whistleblower claims that he was being transferred to another prison in Atlanta. For now, Todd is safe where he is serving his prison sentence for tax evasion and bank wire fraud.
Surgent admitted that he’s not concerned about his client’s safety. The USA Network star has been treated with “respect.” His attorney revealed that Todd’s fellow inmates “look to him as their counselor.” Surgent said that Todd became “the person they go to with their concerns.”
His inmates are glad that he’s speaking out on their behalf when it comes to the prison conditions. Because of this, Todd Chrisley’s inmates “respect him as a mentor.”
This is a different story from a year ago, when the former reality star was concerned about his privacy. At the time, Surgent claimed that someone in the prison took pictures of Todd without his consent.
Do Chrisleys Make The Best Advocates
Todd has become an advocate for his fellow prisonmates. He also wants to fight for those across the nation.
His daughter Savannah Chrisley has also been fighting on his behalf. She embarked on this passion project from the moment that both of her parents entered prison.
Todd Chrisley isn’t shy about taking about the prison system. He opened up in his first-ever interview behind bars with News Nation.
Todd talked about the expired food products and ongoing mold problem. He also recalled a time when cat feces fell on one of the products.
He plans to use his fame and platform to protect other prisoners. Todd has the fame and the fan base to make these changes. However, that could all change once Todd and Julie are released from prison.
Fans have their doubts whether the family will continue to advocate for their fellow inmates. They might be using the movement to get themselves out as early as possible.
