Plus, he showed that he nears the same milestone for cocaine. The update came during speculation about his motivations, with Bravo critics wondering if his recent cocaine confession was timed for the upcoming season of The Valley.
Committed To Changing His Life?
Taylor’s admission of cocaine addiction came on the Hot Mic podcast. Many fans acknowledged his bravery in coming out about it. But, others thought the Bravo star was doing some damage control ahead of the next season. Brittany Cartwright, his ex, said that The Valley fans will see some intense scenes as they get to the point of divorce.
It seems that Jax Taylor is trying to get a grip on his life. In a recent Instagram update on March 7, he seemed to show that he’s committed to change. He proudly shared his 100-day sobriety milestone for alcohol. And, his clock showed he also approaches 100 days free of cocaine.

Taylor got lots of support and positive feedback from Bravo fans and other reality TV stars. Blake Moynes from Bachelor Nation posted hand-clapping emojis.“Congratulations Jax! You’re looking very healthy!” one fan wrote, while another said, “keep going brother, one day at a time. You got this.”
A Vanderpump Rules and The Valley fan focused on Jax Taylor’s son, Cruz. They wrote, “That’s awesome [and] you can keep doing it Jax! Your son is going to grow up and be proud of his dad.”
A History Of Trouble
The support is amazing given his past. Taylor’s history is one of vowing to clean up his act, but not quite getting there. He also vowed to be the best dad that he could be. But, it seems that he slid in that area as well. People reported that Brittany Cartwright said in an exclusive:

Jax has caused an enormous amount of damage and I have very little trust in him at this point. My only hope is that one day, he will be a better person for his son.
Jax is 45 years old now, and as Vanderpump Rules fans know, he hit the alcohol hard on the show. Other reality TV stars, James Kennedy, and Lala Kent also struggled with sobriety.
The upcoming Season of The Valley might show something of the addictions that the dad of Cruz deals with. It’s not clear exactly when the premiere comes, but rumors suggest either May this year or sometime in the first quarter.
