Jeremiah Raber Airlifted To Hospital: Is He Okay?

The start of the new year wasn’t a happy moment for Breaking Amish star, Jeremiah Raber. In fact, he’s been very unwell. Read on to find out how he’s doing now.

A Medical Crisis

Starcasm reported on January 2, that the reality TV star shared some posts on TikTok about his health. Unfortunately, he wasn’t just mildly unwell, either. In fact, he ended up being transported from one hospital to another via helicopter evacuation.

It seemed very serious, judging by his blood sugar levels. In his social media post, he explained that his blood sugar level reached 993. It’s a very scary number when you realize that a normal level is about 100. Probably, his body was going into shock. In fact, medical professionals worried that he might suffer total liver failure.

Is he Getting Better?

Raber shared a selfie from his hospital bed on December 30, showing a tired and pale version of himself. Later, a friend shared a clip of him being taken to a helicopter. Luckily, after getting to the other hospital, the situation started to improve.

In a January 2 post, the Breaking Amish star said that he felt a lot better. Plus, he felt very grateful to everyone for their prayers and predicted that he might leave the hospital hopefully the next day.

A Run Of Bad Luck

Jeremiah Raber seems to have had a run of bad luck with health issues. Back in 2024, he had heart problems and also suffered from diabetic ketoacidosis. In fact, life hasn’t been very good to him recently. About a year ago, he moved into a camper van and talked about how he struggled to make ends meet.

In fact, things were dire, so he requested help for medical costs related to his heart problems. On top of that, the relationship between him and Carmela Mendez also went through a tough phase. In fact, fans don’t know if they are still a couple. Then again, it’s not easy to tell given their on-again, off-again relationship.

Still, right now, it seems that his focus really should be on his health. At least, he still retains the love of his pooch. Fortunately, though, it seems that he’s on the mend now and has returned home to recover from the liver failure scare.

Lots Of Prayers

When fans saw the update about him transferring to the hospital, they felt so worried. On a post on TikTok by @amishdonuts, one of them wrote, “Poor Jer. He’s been dealing with health stuff for a while and seeing this just makes me so sad.”
