Josh Duggar is still serving his CSAM sentence in FCI Seagoville, and a fellow inmate has filed a lawsuit for poor conditions. Actually, the complaint seems not dissimilar to those complaints that Savannah Chrisley raised about her dad’s prison, FPC Pensacola. It’s not the first time that lawsuits have been raised against the Seagoville facility.
The Latest Lawsuit Alleges Mold & Drug Use
The Sun US exclusively broke the latest lawsuit news this week. While many fans of Counting On might think that Josh Duggar has it good in there, it seems that the place isn’t exactly the Hilton Hotel. The outlet reported, “In the February 2025 complaint, the inmate claimed, ‘Smoked K2 when I first got to the yard. Stopped smoking it on July 6th, 2024.’” They also explained that “K2 is a synthetic drug similar to marijuana.”

In the lawsuit against the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the inmate also claimed that “he suffered a seizure and the medical staff ‘didn’t do anything but check my vitals.'” The complaints also included the fact that allegedly the building he stays in is about 100 years old, and there’s “mold in these cells and air vents.”
Despite continually raising the issue of the seizure, the claimant said that “they won’t do anything.” As for the mold, that seems to fall on deaf ears. Going further, the prisoner also hadn’t been able to see his daughter since his incarceration.
Was the Lawsuit Successful?
The lawsuit fell flat on its face after the court gave him a month to file his complaints on a proper form. The associate of Josh Duggar missed the deadline, and it was dismissed. The outlet also mentioned other lawsuits that complained of harsh conditions.
These included complaints of “raw sewage,” poor response to illness, and “expired food.” If you followed Savannah Chrisley’s podcast and other social media during Todd and Julie’s time behind bars, she stressed similar complaints.

By the time they got their pardon, she had finally heard the news that Pensacola was to be demolished, but wanted it stayed because she wanted to prove the disgusting, moldy conditions. Well, if she is going to keep on fighting for prisoners, there are other prisons that clearly need some exposure.
Josh Is Trying To Get Out
Recently, Jim Bob Duggar’s son applied for help to appeal his sentence, and that seems to indicate that his dad ran out of money. It also came soon before the news that his release date was pushed back again.
It’s not known why, or if he broke the prison rules again, but if there’s shoddy healthcare, expired food, and mold, then it’s no big surprise that he wants out before his release date, which is December 2032.
