Julie Chrisley Speaks – It’s Been Years Since Fans Heard That

Julie Chrisley reported to the Lexington prison facility in Kentucky in January 2023. Recently, she spoke on the phone, and many fans heard her for the first time since she last appeared on Savannah Chrisley’s Unlocked podcast. 

The Call Came While Savannah Recorded 

On this week’s Unlocked podcast, Savannah Chrisley, who fights for a pardon for Todd and Julie, spoke with Sharita Mona. Interestingly, she served time in the same prison facility for “eight months.” Not only that, but she wanted to talk about a book that she wrote, titled, “Letters to My Daughters from the Inside.”

To the delight of Chrisley Knows Best fans, the USA Network alum called Savannah as they chatted on the podcast. Remember, in prison, you can’t just hop on the phone any old time you feel like it. So, either they planned a time, or it was sheer coincidence. Fans didn’t care, though, as they were just happy to hear from Julie. 

What Did Julie Say?

Julie, who got reduced time, is still serving a seven-year sentence for tax and fraud-related offenses, but she sounded well. She had gotten to know Sharita when she attended Julie’s real estate classes and other interactions also happened. At the 20:10 mark in the video below, Savannah answered her phone and saw that it was her mom. 

Julie greeted Sharita, and when Savannah told her that Sharita “flipped a house ten days after getting out [of prison],” she was delighted. She laughed and said:

Oh My God! I’m so happy. I love it. 

The conversation wasn’t very long, but fans of the USA Network show were thrilled to hear from her. In the past, they only heard Savannah read letters from her mom.
