Chrisley Knows Best got cancelled when Julie and Todd Chrisley faced charges of tax evasion and bank fraud. But even without the family’s reality TV show, rumors about the Chrisley clan continue to swirl. And the latest gossip claims that Julie Chrisley plans to hire an attorney to file for divorce from Todd.
However, now their daughter Savannah Chrisley has reacted to the divorce claims. Keep reading to learn what she shared about Todd’s and Julie’s marriage.
Julie Chrisley – Allegedly Hires Lawyer To Divorce Todd
Chrisley Knows Best rumors have soared about the possibility that Julie Chrisley wants to split from hubby Todd Chrisley amid their prison sentence. But recently, Chrisley Knows Best alum Savannah Chrisley learned about that gossip. And she turned to social media to challenge those allegations, reported People.
In response to rumors that Julie has considered “hiring counsel to file for divorce” from her hubby Todd, the 26-year-old reality TV star denied those claims. “No, my mother has not hired counsel,” said Savannah. And she claimed that if Julie did hire an attorney, “it would have gone through me.”
As a result of Savannah’s belief that her mother would need to use her daughter to hire an attorney, she termed “that whole story a lie.” And the Chrisley Knows Best alum slammed the gossip. “It’s just unfortunate that we live in a world that wants to tear families apart and wants to spew hate and lies,” she said. “And it’s just absolutely insane.”
Savannah Chrisley – Reveals How Mom Fares In Prison
However, Savannah also discussed how her mother feels about the way that prison has separated Julie from Todd. And she shared, “I just sat with my mother at visitation this weekend and she cried about how much she missed my father.” The two reside at separate prisons.
And at first, the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch, 54, and matriarch, 50, received their sentences in November 2022 of a combined 19 years in prison. Todd and Julie reported to their prisons in January. But since then, officials reduced their sentences.
And Todd and Julie have persisted in appealing their case, still hoping for freedom. However, Savannah shared that though her father resides in a Florida prison and her mother remains in a Kentucky facility, they want to stay married to each other. But their daughter revealed that the two have not received permission to communicate with one another thus far in their prison stay.
Chase Chrisley – Complains About Parents’ Prisons
And she noted recently on social media, “195 days without a word to each other. My heart is breaking.” And Todd’s and Julie’s son Chase Chrisley shared more details on the enforced separation that his parents face.
Chase called the situation “really tough for them.” And he explained, “Because my mom and dad are obsessed with each other.” However, he shared that Todd and Julie continue to stay strong. But he complained that the prison conditions result in a “terrible situation.”
And the 27-year-old added, “The conditions [of their prisons] are awful and if you read all these headlines they say the polar opposite. But it is not the truth,” added Chase. “And we’re going to be spreading a lot of awareness to that as well. Everyone has this perception that my parents are in this country club prison. And that’s just not the case at all.”
