Leslie Fhima from The Golden Bachelorette confirmed on social media that she will be in the new version of Bachelor in Paradise (BIP). The show received mixed responses in the new format after the news that it would return but put The Bachelorette 2025 on hold.
Confirming Her Place On Paradise
On Tuesday this week, Leslie, Gerry Turner’s runner-up. took to her Instagram stories and shared a message from her daughter. In it, she wrote, “Have fun in Paradise, Mom.” By then, folks had already heard from Jesse Palmer about the changes to the show, which includes young people and the oldies.

The Instagram page for the ABC show also posted about he upcoming season. It’s believed that apart from Leslie, other alums from the franchise include Gary Levingston, Zoe McGrady, Hakeem Moulton, and Jonathon Johnson. More names should arrive over time.
Fans Reactions
In the teaser post, many people seemed disappointed about combining young and old. Not that they have anything against inspirational Leslie Fhima. In the caption, the admin explained:
This summer is about to be GOLDEN ☀️ Hit the beaches of paradise with your favorite goldens, alongside your favorites from Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons past. See you on the sand!

Most responses revealed that fans think it will be so odd to see oldies like Leslie, 67, with the younger cast members. One of them wrote, “I like both franchises of the show but I don’t think I like them mixing, it’s kinda weird.”
Another follower agreed with that, anticipating, “I’m gonna hold your hand when I say this, no one wants to watch 70 year old men hit on 25 year olds. It’s weird♀️.”
Another person in the discussion thought that they might film separately. They suggested, “…the golden ppl r probably just going to date each other while the young ppl date each other? They’ll just be on the same beach but kinda like 2 shows happening at once?”
The Full Format Isn’t Known Yet
Usually, alums from the shows end up on a beach in a tropical paradise, and as people arrange hookups and things fall apart, others arrive, complicating matters. However, it would seem absurd if fans saw Jonathon Johnson, 28, from Jenn Tran’s season, dump someone closer to his age to hook up with Leslie.
As it’s not known how the show will change to accommodate the oldies, perhaps it’s a bit early to assume liaisons between young and old folks will happen.
