Lisa Vanderpump Sparks Pump Rules Backlash, Defends Tom Sandoval

Vanderpump Rules Spoilers – Lisa Sparks Backlash!

Lisa Vanderpump sparked a backlash during the Vanderpump Rules season 10 finale. And fans slammed Lisa for supporting Tom Sandoval. Her support came when Tom told her about his affair with Raquel Leviss. But Lisa explained her reasoning. “Everybody else was chastising him,” pointed out Vanderpump. As a result, she resisted “joining the pack. I mean, it seemed so kind of slanted. Everything was against him, you know?” said Lisa, 62, via Life & Style.

And the Vanderpump Rules star pointed out that she has known Sandoval “for a long time. Of course, I’m condemning what he did. That’s why I said, ‘You’re not a bad person. You just did a bad thing.’ And my heart was always with Ariana. Maybe I didn’t kind of, you know, scream at him and lambast him,” admitted Lisa. “But everybody else had done that.”

However, Ariana Madix challenged Lisa’s support during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live. And Madix described Vanderpump as “too nice to” Tom during the finale. But Lisa shared that she viewed Sandoval as “a broken man. So, I just didn’t want to pile on, to be honest,” added the reality TV star. However, Vanderpump shared that she did hold conversations that made Sandoval “accountable. I felt the same way, absolutely, that everybody else did. But at some point, they’re like my children in some way,” added Lisa.

Vanderpump Rules Spoilers – ‘We Felt Duped’

Tom Sandoval and Scheana Schay have worked with Lisa Vanderpump since 2009, the year that she opened her first Beverly Hills restaurant, Villa Blanca. And Vanderpump Rules, which debuted in 2013, focused on Lisa and her employees. As a result, Lisa feels that they grew up with her. 

And Vanderpump added, “You might scream at [Sandoval] for a second, and I did that before. But when I saw him, then you’ve gotta try to at least move forward or look for the path forward.” However, Lisa admitted that it seems “too early to move forward [or] look for the path forward. But of course, we were all very upset. We felt duped.”

But the season 10 finale also showed Ariana confiding in Lisa after she discovered the affair. And Vanderpump reassured Madix that life would improve. However, when Sandoval subsequently visited Lisa, she questioned his actions. “Well, what’s she going to have now? I mean, this isn’t a trusting place when you’re sleeping with one of her best friends,” pointed out Lisa.

And Vanderpump reflected on how Sandoval hurt Ariana after their nine years together. But Lisa also addressed his affair with Raquel. And she noted, “It looks terrible in retrospect.” However, when Tom began sobbing and hyperventilating, Lisa sought to reassure him. And she urged, “You have to stop. It’s going to get better from here on in.”
