Long Island Medium star Theresa Caputo soared to fame with her ability to guide her clients through emotional readings with their deceased family members. Beyond her profession as a medium, Theresa shared her personal life as a busy mom to her daughter Victoria. Since the last episode of her reality TV show, Caputo has continued to stay in touch with fans through social media.

The Instagram backlash for Long Island Medium star Theresa Caputo began late last month. And her social media post that sparked the trolling seemed innocent at a glance. Caputo decided to share a photo from her daughter Victoria’s baby shower.

“There are no words for the feeling of your baby having a baby 💗Shower day for this beautiful momma to be @viccaputo ……..#longislandmedium #sunday #babyshower 👗 @pinkblushmaternity 👗@dolcegabbana,” wrote the Long Island Medium in her caption. The picture showed Victoria cradling her baby bump, her long wavy hair flowing down her shoulders. And just in case anyone missed that baby bump, Theresa pointed to it as she posed in a rainbow-hued outfit and sky-high hair. 

Sweet, right? Umm, some of her followers disagreed. “kind of sad that your outfit upstaged your daughter on her day,” slammed one critic. And others chimed in, roasting Caputo for putting too much glamour in her grandma outfit!

Theresa Caputo Responds To Instagram Critics

As a result of the backlash, the Long Island Medium star shared a new photo that aimed for a dressed-down look. And although Theresa couldn’t bare to go totally make-up free (check out those carefully elongated eyelashes and penciled eyebrows), she did tone down her usual heavy hand with cosmetics. Caputo’s hairstyle also continued her tradition of sky-high tresses. 

But the reality TV star’s newest Instagram post provided a dramatic contrast to her glammed-up pic that got so much criticism. A simple sweatshirt hinted that Theresa listened to those critics. As for her message? Caputo urged fans to listen to her newest Long Island Medium Podcast, “HEY SPIRIT!”

In addition, Caputo’s podcast offers her fans, guests, and callers a chance to get a customized reading to guide their future.
