Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird stepped foot on the WeTV channel when her mom, June Shannon, started her journey towards sobriety after being arrested due to possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Last 2018, Lauryn married the love of her life, Joshua Efird, and it was previously reported that June Shannon played a huge negative role in their marriage. While Mama June was in rehab, Lauryn took care of her little sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, who was still 14 years old at that time.

Mama June Spoilers – Lauryn Efird Wins Custody for Alana Thompson Against Mom June Shannon
Since the day Mama June encountered jail, Lauryn started to become a parent to her little sister, Alana, who has been vocal about her previous tough situation with her mom, saying that she was scared to open up to June and to stay under one roof with her.

Despite losing custody, June Shannon is still allowed to communicate with her youngest daughter via phone call, however, the visitation rights are up to Lauryn. It was also stated that the judge determined that Mama June’s monthly income was $1,015.00 per month since the show hasn’t been renewed on the day of the filing.
