‘Bachelor’ Matt James Reveals Why Proposal Is Delayed

Former Bachelor Season 25 lead, Matt James seems to be solid with Rachael Kirkconnell. However, the long-awaited engagement hasn’t happened. In fact, he seems to give Dean Unglert Bell a run for his money by delaying the final commitment to his girl. Read on to find out why the ABC star hesitates. 

Matt James & Rachael Kirkconnell Dated For Over Three Years

Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell were in the first season with a Black Bachelor lead, but when the season ended, he didn’t propose. Instead, the ABC star did something that Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner should have considered. He wanted to keep on dating Rachael before committing to marriage. 

Matt James briefly ended things with Rachael following the outcry after fans saw the photos from a college party with a plantation theme. However, they later got back together again, and they seem to be in love and solid. So, why hasn’t he proposed yet? Read on to find out.

Why No Engagement?

Last week, Rachael Kirconnel and the Former Bachelor lead chatted with Dani and Jordan on the De-Influenced podcast. Well, it turned out that it was Rachel who came over as reluctant to commit to that proposal ring. 

Matt James claimed that he’s keen and he’s looking for a ring. However, he can’t seem to get Rachael interested in buying one. He said that he needed input as he obviously” wouldn’t dare” to buy her a ring without “consulting” her.” Unfortunately, Rachael Kirkconnell claimed that she doesn’t know what type of ring she wants. 

The Bachelor lead added:

I’ve been hinting at marriage for a very long time. I don’t think Rachael is taking my hints seriously.

In the comments section of the podcast, Bachelor Nation fans were not overly worried about the delay in proposing. Actually, a lot of people get the impression that the couple seems deeply in love with or without a ring. Here are some of their reactions to the podcast:
