The mysterious French guy has not been fully revealed. His face is blurred when he was featured in the show.
But recently, Whitney confessed that they didn’t really meet on the language app – it was a different app instead. It was a dating app, the same one where she met her ex-lover Lennie Alehat.
Whitney Way Thore And The Dating App
She later revealed that when it was still the height of the pandemic, she was bored and at the same time, heartbroken. So, she decided to sign up for an international dating app where she met her current boyfriend. She said that it was great that we have this technology in this century.
Even though they didn’t really meet through a language exchange app, she learned a lot of French while dating the guy. Basically, the dating app also served as a language exchange app after all.
It was also reported that Whitney has traveled to France a couple of times already to meet with her boyfriend. He wasn’t able to come to the US, that’s why Whitney was the one who made the trip to him instead.

She also revealed that the French guy was the one who initiated the conversation with her in the app. They didn’t meet immediately, and it took a while before they actually do.
According to her, she was really physically attracted to him initially, but it was confirmed when she saw him in real life. She said she was relieved that that was the case because she was already in love before they actually met personally. They already had a trip to the Louvre and it was one of the places in France that Whitney really wanted to visit. It was a lovely day according to her.
Even though the French guy initiated the talk as mentioned, Whitney said she was the one who said ‘I love you’ first. It was also the first time that she was the one who confessed to being in love first.
Whitney truly had a lot of firsts in this relationship. We hope it works out and we couldn’t wait for more updates on their relationship.
