Oscar-winning Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman has a deal with the History Channel for a new reality series and the working title says it all: Great Escapes with Morgan Freeman. According to Deadline, the series will examine the world’s greatest jailbreaks. The plan in place is for Morgan to host and executive produce six one-hour episodes for the series.
The show will rely on re-enactments and state of the art visual effects with the aim of recreating some of the most infamous jailbreaks ever pulled off. As a part of the storytelling, Morgan will discuss the inmates’ planning and escape routes and viewers will see how the cons were pursued by the authorities after their escapes.

Film fans know that the handsome and talented actor earned an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of an inmate in the fictional movie Shawshank Redemption. Unlike the movie, Morgan will examine real-life escapes in his series.
