My Big Fat Fabulous Life Spoilers – Whitney Way Thore Compares Mom To Royalty
Whitney Way Thore wanted to remain sensitive to her father’s feelings after her mother Barbara Thore’s death. And so she asked her dad Glenn Thore if he wanted to film their mourning.
“I really wasn’t sure how he was going to feel,” she admitted. “And he immediately said yes,” Whitney told E News.
“The way he explains it is that my mother was loved very publicly,” noted the reality TV star. “And he wants her to be able to be mourned publicly. He likens her to Princess Diana and the Queen of England.” And Whitney gushed about her mother as a public persona. “I know how much she affects people,” Whitney said. “But to hear it was so wonderful for soothing our hearts a little bit. And to know how she was able to mother people through a television screen, literally all over the world.”
And Whitney shared that she heard from viewers about their feelings toward her mother. “The amount of people who said, ‘I didn’t have a mom, and she was like, my mom.’ It’s a gift she gave the world. You always want your loved ones to be remembered,” pointed out the reality TV star.
And so the star of My Big Fat Fabulous Life believes that her mother will “live on in so many people’s hearts and minds. It is such a gift. I’m so glad I was able to share my mom with the world,” added Whitney.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life Spoilers – Meet GT
And after comparing her mom to royalty, Whitney unveiled her father’s new persona. “He’s totally rebranded,” she claimed. “He’s not Glenn Thore anymore.” And instead, the star of My Big Fat Fabulous Life wants viewers to think of her dad as “GT. That’s his new persona. So you’re gonna see a side to Glenn Thore that you’ve never seen.”
Whitney, 39, shared that she sees herself as a “daddy’s girl. And my dad has always been able to fix everything. He’s always been the strong one. And my brother and I really had to be that for him. You just want to love and protect your parents,” she added. “And you don’t ever want them to feel pain. So that’s certainly been the most difficult part.”
However, the family, including her brother Hunter Thore, found some joy in getting GT to complete a bucket list. And Whitney shared that they enjoyed having “something to focus on and a project to put your energy into. And definitely my brother and I realized, we have got to help Dad.”
Because Whitney never viewed “an ounce of vulnerability from” her dad. she felt challenged. And the reality TV star confessed that seeing Glenn “at his most vulnerable” felt “really difficult.”
