The Voice Season 24 Spoilers – Gwen Stefani Asked To Be Mean
The Voice Season 24 spoilers suggest that production wanted Gwen Stefani to act “mean” and “conceited” as a coach.
Earlier this season, rumors swirled that Gwen wasn’t nice to newcomer Reba McEntire. She spoke to Access Hollywood about her struggles on the show.
This season wasn’t her best, and she knew it. Gwen struggled with her coaching responsibilities. She didn’t know which contestants to keep and which songs to give them. Fans argued that Gwen set up her team to fail.
“I think we all come here going, ‘What? We’re supposed to be mean?” Gwen Stefani told Access Hollywood. “We’re supposed to be, how do you say it, conceited about our careers? It’s just a weird twist on what you’re normally like.”
Instead, Gwen brought a welcoming and warm energy to the talent on the stage. She also name-dropped Blake Shelton, who became one of the best coaches in the series.
The Voice Season 24 spoilers also reveal that Reba McEntire had to toughen up on the show. Gwen said that Reba is still getting her feet wet as a coach.

In the teaser for the season, Reba teased that her fellow coaches are “real mean.” She added: “Especially mean.” She couldn’t say that with a straight face. Of course, Reba was only joking. She had a great time with everyone on the show.
“Everybody’s just as sweet and kind offstage as they can be,” Reba shared. “When they come on the stage, though, they kind of change their personality.”
